She completed her educational path in teaching, as well as in arts at the Istituto Regina Vittoria in Rome. She has an excellent knowledge of the French language and culture. She obtained a Masters in Theatrical Scenography and Cinematography.

She also participated in a number of in-depth research activities regarding culture, and the use of different antique and contemporary marbles in architecture.

She also held teaching posts at different Educational Institutes in Rome until 1977.

Paola Mainetti was awarded of the honorary distinction of Commendatore dell'Ordine "al merito della Repubblica Italiana" by D.P.R. in 13-01-2017
